Hail Bobs and Bobs
fans! I love this music and can not get enough of it. I got started when
a friend heard one of my Monkey Puzzle albums and said "that reminds me
of the Bobs." She was right and now I'm just as hooked on the Bobs. Must
have more music!!! Keep rocking and entertaining us all Bobs (oh and please
come to Colorado).

I have been a fan
since "Songs for Tomarrow Morning", I was finally able to see you live
in Cincinnatti. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE come to South Bend so I can see you
again!! Richard Bob you are my personal hero!!!!

Bobs: I am your biggest fan. In effort to become a smaller fan, I bring
you with me often to the gym and on the running path. That's me, with
earbuds, sweating and grinning, raised eyebows to help you hit the high
notes, chin to my chest for the bassest. Your amazing harmonies (and assorted
sounds) would be enough, but your lyrics cement my fan-ness (fanity?).
Who else sings about the relevent issues of our day, SHC, Art for Art
Sake, Rainbird, Bring to Boil, Naming the Band and Earl? I quote your
poetry and wisdom frequently. (Alas, my kids now respond with icy silence,
my colleagues with polite silence.) Please never stop. And please don't
tell me you had a concert this spring in Tucson that I missed. Yours,
Joanna

Hi! Well I've found my way back home! I've been a fan since the early
80's. My friend Karlyne Myers (see the first newsletter) took me to a
show at the Great American Music Hall. I was hooked (sooo many concerts
at the Palms and GAMH)! But although I still sleep in my autographed BOB's
jammies (xmas and regular), I some how lost touch since I've moved to
the midwest. I did the grad school thing and such. Well today, my 4 year
old and 2 year old found my BOB's collection and said "What are these,
Mom?" Well today has been BOB's day. All BOB's all the time! Then I went
on the computer and found this site. Last time I looked in Gunner was
on the verge of retirement. Now you have two new faces (O.K., new to me)
but you still sound wonderful (I saw the video clips)! Too bad we just
missed your Grand Rapids concert. Our family will be looking out for any
future concerts in the upper Midwest. Now I've got to email Karlyne and
see if she's seen this site. I will never forget Gunner and "Welcome to
my Fog" (makes me laugh even now), but I'm so glad your still going strong
and I look forward to turning my children into BOB heads.
P.S. I saw that movie "Best in Show" and it made me think of you guys
too.

You ARE vocal gods! Your benefit show tonight (6/16/01) for the Upward
Bound House in Santa Monica was AMAZING. (I was the woman in the balcony
who wanted Matthew Bob sing "SPRAY", but then I would have wanted you
sing EVERYTHING, starting with "Art...) Thank you for being THE BOBS.
xxoo Ilayne Lucas (ilucas@pacbell.net) Burbank CA
I attended your performance on 6/9/01 in Batavia. I, in comparison to
so many at the performance, knew nothing about you Bobs before the performance.
I heard you live, have listened to the 3 CDs that I purchased and, bottom
line, I think you guys are certifiably NUTS! Lest you think that this
is a criticism, read further. I have been a licensed practitioner of the
mental health arts for the last 22 years. Ergo, I know NUTS when I see
it. Your kind of NUTS is the most creative, funny and wonderful that I
have seen for some time! Keep up the good work!

Heard you on the Lionel Show... love your work!! Please add me to your

I am so psyched I'm going to be seeing you tomorrow @The Bottom Line.
I found you guys (and gal) on a fluke in the 80's at Wolftrap. I so respect
your harmonies, I cannot tell you. The fluidity in your sound, the breath
of your phrasing (no puns intended); words can describe the smile on my
face and the laughter in my heart your music provides. And, lest I appear
verbose (naah, who...me...??)...i think you're GREAT!
Judy 'Bob' Sommerich (browneyesbbw@yahoo.com) NYC NY
Hey!, We're still waiting for a bobs concert here in the deeeeeep south.
You've got a huge untapped audience down here. Everybody seems to think
that Roger Daltry and Pete Townsend are part of your group for some reason.
Whenever I tell anyone that my favorite singing group is the bobs they
say "The Who?". Oh well, as soon as the economy picks back up I'll buy
the new CD. It's a poor substitute for a live concert but better than
nothing.

Hi Bobs,
I am an old fan of yours from the other part of the Ocean !!
Yes I'm writing from Milan, Italy ! I knew you in 1987 / 1988 in a TV
trasmission ( "D.O.C." ) and I bought two your Lps: " Songs for tomorrow
morning " and " The bobs sing the songs of..." ( this album is dedicated
to Ruud Gullit if i remember well). But in Italy is very difficult to
find something about you!
Thank you for your music and your incredible songs !!
Sergio Bob Minola (sergio.minola@aventis.com) Milan Italy
No date on this year's tour at Harford Comm College(Bel Air, MD or Ram's
Head Pub (Annapolis, MD). So many towns.... not enough time??? Come back,
Bobs.
Bill Polhamus (eje@erols.com) Baltimore MD
When are you coming back to Idaho? Seems like the last time was at the
Panida Theater in Sandpoint in 1994 or 1995. We are desperate for some
music that does not involve banjo playing inbred relatives.
George Williams(georgew@internetoutlet.net Boise ID
Please to be coming back to Florida for good show and sweater party! Or???
Michael Axman (mikeaxe@aol.com) Orlando FL
Experienced The Bobs last night. My wife and I have both contracted Bobiphyllius
Maximus. Probably not curable. Spend the rest of our days humming to ourselves
and grining like idiots. Oh well, beats Mad Cow Disease.

Just found out you all are going to be at the Oregon Country Fair. If
you have never been there it is um... a unique and enjoyable trip. We
fly out every few years for the fair. We are long time FOB and See you
whenever you are with 300 miles of us.
Scott land (zaphod57@yahoo.lcom) Perryville KY
I love your music! I/ve been introducing the people I work with to the
Bobs, and they are impressed. Important questions:
1. Are you coming to the Reno or Tahoe area?
2. Is the Iso/Bobs VHS tape going to be available on DVD? (I LOVE that
show!)
Thanks for enlightening the airwaves!
