First saw the original
group playing outdoors at some Christmas gathering in San Francisco in
1980 something, then at a scruffy club in Davis Calif. called "The Palms".
We used to come home exhausted from attending mid-week shows 100+ miles
from home. My daughter who is now 24 was raised on the Bobs and exhibits
no lasting ill effects (if you discount the singing of "Mopping" at inappropriate
times) so its even safe for children. Thanks for decades of fun music
and good times!

Hi Bobs! We REALLY wish you guys would come back to Nashville! We last
saw you in 1989 with ISO and were hooked for life. Last year, a local
club booked "The Bobs" for a show, and after showing up, they turned out
not to be you. Please come back! Stay cool! -R.B.

Dear Bobs, where have you been all of my musical life? Two days ago i
had been in my local music store looking for another artist under the
"b" section. I am so glad that there was nothing to be had by this other
artist because it caused me to keep looking for something to satisfy my
musical fix. Well, little did i know that my life was about to be changed
that moment when i noticed a section set aside for the bobs. I had heard
of your band before as i had noticed your name as a band that plays at
the iron horse in northampton. I picked up a cd from the bin and noticed
that all of the songs were originals. Oh well, why not? I thought i would
give it a try. I bought songs for tomorrow morning and my i'm large. I
was hooked. The next day i ran back to the store to buy what was left
in the Bobs section......i brow club,Shut Up and Sing and The Bobs. You
guys are great. Your music is so beautiful and original.the seti program
let a few slip in unnoticed,oh well.i keep e-mailing my friends to go
out and buy your music. I and my friends will be in the audience the next
time you play the Iron Horse. Go Bobs.i have never been so proud to be
named Bob myself.
Another Bob.

Hi Bobs,
I saw the show in Las Vegas. At first I didn't know what was going on.
It took time for the audience to appreciate you Bobs but I'm sure you
knew that would happen. I was only there because we were given free tickets.
I never cared for Joan Osborne but what the heck, a free concert. I was
glad I stood up front when you guys were on because I never realized what
a nice ass Joan had. I had a great time. Do you ever come to So Cal. I
know my wife would enjoy your show.
You might want to do the Gary Wright song 'Love Is Alive' Joan did it
great and I know it wwould song great by the Bobs. Take Care

Dear Bobs - I saw you a couple of times in Seattle, at Jazz Alley and
at the King Cat (the time you had just gotten back from touring Europe)
You were a little tired (delirious, actually). Well now I'm in Switzerland
and want you to get yourselves back over here!! I promise I will bring
many english-speaking friends to throw pretzels at you :) Unfortunately,
all your albums I listened to belong to my ex, and now I need to start
from scratch. So far, I have 'I brow club'. This could take a while! Thanks,
you guys rock!!!

One word: Smiling rictus! Ok, so math never was my strong suit. Just wanted
to say thanks again for dropping me the email about your concert at the
House of Blues. I was able to roust up ten Bobbers-to-be on short notice
and everyone was thoroughly impressed! Oh...Joan did ok too...she has
quite a set of lungs on her, eh? I know most folks were there to see *her*,
but it was great to see them warm up to you with each song...nice programming!
It's hard to go wrong when you finish up with Purple Haze....right up
there with the Kronos quartet arrangement. And your rendition of Helter
Skelter is a work of genius. I hope to hear "My Husband Was a Weatherman"
and "Little Red Riding Hood" next time you're in town. I'll call Joan
and see if she's available to open. Or maybe God, if he's free.....Keep
on Bobbin'! Ted Hartwell (tedh@lvcm.com) Las Vegas NV
20 years! Where do I start? I was there in New York at the beginning,
at El Bohio: 6 shows scheduled, 5 cancelled. Then Symphony Space: 600
seats, 300 sold. Then (finally) The Bottom Line: a sell-out! (With many
more to follow). From the opening notes of Art For Art's Sake to the closing
"A-cappella" of Acappella Choir in the Sky, I've been there. Memories.
Richard, Matthew and Janie staying with me to save hotel bills; dinner
at Flor De Mayo (and weren't the customers surprised!). The Bobobobs on
the Bobular Quest. Conversations at the bar at The Bottom Line. Beluga.
(What ever happened to THAT one?). For twenty years I have been with you.
Yet, more importantly, for twenty years your music has been with me. Threading
its way through my life as meaningfully in its way as The Beatles and
Dylan. Your humor, irreverence, wit, intelligence - and those harmonies!
Always slightly skewball, always a joy to listen to. There is not an award
big enough, grand enough, important enough in the music world to signify
what you and your music has meant to me - and, I'm sure, to thousands,
perhaps millions, of others. Here's to your next twenty years - may they
be as productive, joyous, fun and personally and professionally enriching
as the first twenty have been. Peace!

Just got back from the Bottom Line, where I introduced my psychopharmacologist
to your work. He was so impressed he's contacting Dr. Duke to concoct
a new chemical in honor of the Bobs. You may have noticed him. He was
the only patron standing on a table. I've admired your stuff for years
and years, especially your New York performance with ISO at the Joyce
Theatre. May the gods continue to smile on you.

Wow! This new album, Coaster, is just as great as all of the others that
I've heard. I started my collection with "songs for tomorrow morning"
and have always been quite impressed!
I hope to catch you guys (and gal) in Pittsburgh, PA sometime. I've been
a faithful listener since 1995 (I'm still young... only 25)
Keep cranking out the records! My wife and I love it all!!
Bob Hasak(tedstriker@home.com) Leetsdale PA
Hey Bobs! Just wanted to say that I love the new CD. I think "Hidden Bonus
Track" is pure genious, as is the rest of the Album. Amy Bob is a great
addition. You guys are sounding better than ever. I jsut wish that you'd
tour Montana. Alex Rosenleaf(extempcoach1@yahoo.com) Great Falls MT
I have 2 tickets (3rd row) to the Bobs' concert at Wolftrap (purchased
a month ago) and now want/need 4. Since Wolftrap has a no-exchange policy,
I was wondering if anyone would be willing to purchase these from me at
cost (no service charge since I bought at the box office in person) so
I can buy 4 tickets together (otherwise I buy another 2 tickets and my
family is split in 2 during the show). Contact me directly if you are
interested -.

hello... i have some comments on your new cd. There are too many obscene
songs in it... you need to stop using such sick humor. you started out
so nice and unsick! There are still good songs on it though... That is
all i have to say!!!

Hey Bob's
I warned you in Santa Cruz about going to MN, I hear it was COLD !! Great
reviews from all 25 family members that were there! See you in AZ

Hey I noticed that you performed in Minneapolis and Seattle, but you did
not stop in Spokane. What is the deal? Is it nationally known that Spokane
is a socially retarded area or what? How did you find out? Do I have to
drive to Seattle to see you perform from now on? steve (schennum@gonzaga.edu)
Spokane WA
I haven't slept well this week - I can't get you out of my head! Plastic
or paper, paper or plastic, over and over. what delicious torture. Thanks
for a great week in Seattle, and for filling all those requests! You were
all so friendly, for such big stars.
John Kraft (john.kraft@uswestmail.net) Seattle WA
Bobs..heard your songs on KUOW Seattle today....it's great to hear you...I
can't believe it's been twenty years....I was living in Southern California
in the early 80's and your "I hate the Beach Boys" was so good...it's
really beautiful song...as well as a northerners indictment of the socal
culture......thanks....... david lee
Please add me to your mailing list so that I might be informed of any
new concert, television or audio recording activity.

Hey, Bobs! We saw you tonight at Jazz Alley. Wow. Duncan's rendition of
Rudolph was awesome. The rest wasn't bad, either. Thanks for keeping up
the enthusiasm after all theese years. (I still have your first three
albums on vinyl.) Happy Holidays!!
