Hey look out behind you
The vapor will find you
It might even blind you
The Vapor Carioca

When I was a child I had no intestinal fortitude
Lactose intolerant unable to digest common food
But I was blessed by the power I possessed
Though I could clear the room with a sonic boom
I could also blow a melody with uncanny aptitude

I worked my way through school performing out on a busy street
Upwind the crowd would cheer standing back about thirty feet
I was a kid with gas - they called me the magic ass
Six shows a day I would play depending on what I'd eat (what she'd eat)

Hey look out behind you
The vapor will find you
It might even blind you
The Vapor Carioca

Some men they ask me for a date but it never leads to romance
One dinner for two and we're through, I never get a second chance
Music will fill the air - mostly around my chair
They never want to dance to the party in my pants

And then one day I met a man who asked to hear the Overture from William Tell
He come from Trinidad - he fish for cod and mackerel - he has no sense of smell
We make the perfect match
He reeks of last weeks catch
I serenade him while he shucks oysters from the shell

The Vapor Carioca is sweet but not so discrete, it's more of a siren song
When she begins to break wind we all want to sing along
Echoing down the halls - peeling the paint off the walls
There's no concealing the way that you're feeling when you do
The Vapor Carioca
