Hey Bobs! I saw you Friday, Oct 9 in Louisville. Great show! Maybe you can buy that Oregon Pipe one day; and learn how to play it too! Hope the note-giver-thingy isn't broken since some Bob (who JOE will JOE remain JOE nameless JOE) stomped on it. Thanks for coming out to the lobby, I was afraid you wouldn't! Also for signing my shirt, and tolerating my friends and mine version of "Welcome to my Fog". We can be backup singers (like Sam Bob) if you ever need us, or dancers or anything else. I had a Blast!!! Next time when you come to KY, come to Lexington (it's closer). Or just come to my house, there's always room for one more Bob. Thanks for the music! :)

Oh BOBS! I love you guys! I must say that Friday was the greatest day of my life. My dad says he is a bit worried that my life has peaked at such an early age, but I don't see how it could get any better! I have dreamt of singing with the Bobs since I was 6 years old! My friend, Julie and I have been having trouble getting others to sing with us at the talent show, but I think Welcome To My Fog might have been their true inspiration! You guys are the coolest people in the world! My friends and I have decided to be your roadies during college, if thats ok with you!

Gunnar Madsen opening for the Bobs?! WOW!!! I wish I could go! Puleeze webcast it! We would love to see you all in Houston again. I attended the concert at Rockefeller's in Houston and at the Cactus Cafe in Austin. I got to chit chat with Joe Bob at each concert. What a cool dude! Matthew Bob is great too...but he didn't want to sing "My Shoes"! :-( That's ok, I love 'em all! I would also like to request the video release too. I always need a Bobs fix!

To our friend two entries down: I see we've learned to use the "Paste" fuction. Very nice. I'm sure your artwork will look great on Mommy's refrigerator door. And now for something completely different... With Gunnar Madsen opening for The Bobs on 11/27 and with the ever-present threat of guest appearances from other Bobalumni, it looks like that show at Kuumbwa would be heaven to attend! Unfortunately, I'm 2600 miles from the land of the Banana Slugs and won't be able to attend. Has any thought been given to Webcasting that show? Among other things, it would give some fans who haven't had a chance to see Amy that opportunity.

Hi, this is my first time hearing about The Bobs. My friends and I have recently set up an a cappella club in Singapore (the first) and we are proactively looking for new materials, groups and whatever that may be helpful to the club and the a cappella scene in Singapore. Hey, you BOBS! It was great seeing you in Winchester as part of the Bluemont Concert Series. I'm the girl who was "sight-reading" your music on the front row. I can't believe Bluemont got you, but I'm soooo glad they did. Sorry for the poor turnout. Loved Amy Bob. I think she is a terrific addition to the group. Would you ever consider adding a 5th Bob? I think Laura Bob has a nice ring to it! Hope to see and hear you again soon!

i heard you on a public radio station out of san francisco several years ago while i was stuck in a cabin along the Russian River on a stormy March night with my ex while we were trying to mend our crumbling relationship. It didnt work but that is in no way your fault. Did you sing a song about an eavesdropping neighbor wherein one of the lines or the chorus was "Your boyfriend is really a jerk." or was that someone else? whether you did or did not, keep up the good work. Still reeling from Davis last night (8-13-98). My son and I and several friends saw/heard you at the Palms last year (we weren't the loud crowd who talked through the concert). Some of the loudest guffaws coming from the audience, stage left last night -- about 150 feet from the stage -- emanated from our group, which included a woman who thought she was out to see a 4-man group that starts with "E". Despite the confusion, she came away from the concert absolutely thrilled! Thanks, once again.

Great concert in Austin! Yay for a cappella singing! I am a product of collegiate a cappella singing in the Northeast, and Ezra can make a lot of funny sounds. P.S. He also plays the Euphonium (Better known as the "What???" and he would be more than happy to march in a parade with Joe Bob.

Last night, i was sitting home wondering what to do for the evening and saw an ad for a concert with someone called the bobs playing for free two blocks away from me. Well, i though "what thw hell" and walked town with my friend. Boy was a surprised about the singers there. I am visiting a town called Leesburg and didnt think anyone with as mush talent likke the bobs would come down here. I have to admit that the Bobs aren really my taste in music (i love smashing pumpkins, tool, everclear, and offspring). I wanted to thank the bobs for entaining me for that evening. Sarah

I've been a fan for a number of years ever since my friend pulled out a Bobs tape at a beach party and we all grooved to it. I continue the tradition when I can by sharing with others, though some just don't seem to get it. I guess it's like those pictures that you stare at and wait for the image to appear. I see it, and love it. Thanks.

We've been big fans since the early 80's I produced an evening of Shakespeare using your music as underscoring and scene-change music, The overwhelming commentary was to the effect of "yeah, the acting was good, but who is that vocal group!?" As a theatre Prof. at the U.of Utah I've turned on literally hundreds of students to your wit, musicianship, and wonderfully sardonic look at the absurdity of our every day lives. Thanks for all you do!

I am not a morning person. Consequently, waking up takes about 20-30 min. to get to full awareness. One morning, as I lay in bed semi-conscious, I heard "First I was a hippie, then I was a stock broker." I was so uncertain as to whether or not it was a real song, that I called the radio later that day to find out. Been a Bobs fan ever since.

Despite the preponderence of attack mosquitoes, you guys rocked that Guilderland "slant"!! My girlfriend (an Albanyite) and I (a Raleighite) were there front and center on one of those rough-hewn church pew-looking thingies. It was especially good to hear some of the "I Brow Club" tunes cranked up to "eleven". And thanks much for signing the songbooks I bought. We brethren and cistern of Task4ce (aka "the infernal caterwaulers")and assorted other FOBs will be making the roadtrip from L.A. ("Lower Apex") and Raleigh up to Fredericksburg VA for the 8/22 gig. We will bring all essential credentials and supplies, including extra tins of those "curiously refreshing" Altoids lozenges as well as the requisite fifths of "Grey Goose" tm brand Vodka.

i don't even know what to say, untill i heard the bobs i thought current music was good, i thought my guitar playing was cool and on the edge, now i realize i know nothing. the bobs are such the best, making everything else sound like total crap, it hurts me, i even started to "tab" the bobs onto guitar, and i barely got one of the basslines, or should i say richard-lines? or am i just a moron? or am i just not worthy? I'll be damned if i didn't tell my girlfriend that once we tripped together i thought we were in love, and i love the bobs, and it's just plain silly how much i dig them. -could continue for hours -mugwump

Hi guys! I just saw you last week (or so) at the Birchmere in Alexandria. You guys are even better than I'd heard (which is saying a lot), and the CD's I bought are fabulous too. Hearing you guys perform and talking with you after the show lit a fire under me, and now I'm seriously taking a look at the possibility of my own music career. Thanks for a good time and for some inspiration. I'm looking forward to seeing you again in the fall! A new fan, Chris.

I just saw you at the Guilderland performing arts center in Guilderland NY and thought that you were all outstanding. My brother sang with the Binghamton Crosby's years ago when he attended SUNY "B" and they sang a lot of your stuff, including "My I'm Large" which is great because my brother is 6'7" and he was the one who sang it. It was great seeing you and I hope to see you all again soon. (By the way, I was the one who was blaring out "Up with People" in the crowd).

Giddyness consumes me! Gunner Bob on HBO?! Oh rapture! Curses that I don't have HBO, but I will by the time of this glorious appearance! Gunnar Bob made me and my friends true Bob fans the moment was saw hime perform Welcome To My Fog! I was greatly saddened by the absence of Welcome To My Fog at the NKU concert! But if Jim Katzin saw it I am confident that I, too, will see this marvelous song once again!

Just saw you at Falcon Ridge. You're everything the matchbox cover said you would be. You did a song about my son called 'Welcome to my Fog'. I was so impressed, I went into the merchandise tent and bought every recording by the Bobs that they had. Six CD's and a tape. It came to $100, and still no sign of that song. Where are you hiding it? Or did I just imagine that I heard it?

I saw my first Bobs concert last night (7/23/98) at the Birchmere, a venue that I knew of because I have seen Rockapella there twice. You guys are certainly, uh..... different. But entertaining nonetheless. Matthew Bob (and possibly Amy Bob) would remember me as the girl with the cool earring. Richard Bob would remember me as the girl who lent him a permanent marker to sign my T-shirt with and which he then tried to walk off with. And Joe Bob should remember me as the girl in the Godspell shirt. I'm sorry I missed your reference to Godspell in Don't Call Me a Queer. I will most certainly have to come to another concert if only to hear it again. A great concert, guys. You have earned yourself another fan.

Ok, so when I was a kid, I was a huge Manhattan Transfer fan. But my Dad used to say, "Brooke, you need to check out the Bobs" - and then I saw them on the Emmy's and they were cool, but I never got around to buying any music. So last night, my Dad takes me to a show. I have seen the Manhattan Transfer 3 times. I never had as much fun with them as I did with you. So thank you for an awesome time, for blessing us with your amazing talent, and for a compendium of humor. My only request is: Joe-Bob, I think you are so cute and everything, but the "shiny" shirt - what's up with that?

Would love to hear the Bobs live in Las Vegas! Unfortunately, seems like groups are required to have been dead at least 15 years to book an appearance here. But seriously, I've been a fan since your 1st recordings, and I'm greatful to have found this webpage so that I can catch up on the last few CD's. What a talent! Never take it for granted! I use to sing semi-professionally locally, but was hit by a bizarre voice disorder (spasmodic dysphonia) and now can only get 3-4 decent months of sound outta this throat per year...better than nothing, I guess! :-) Keep up the good music!

Mr. Bob Yearwood: I, too, have some questions regarding your offer posted herein for a bartering arrangement involving air transportation. Would we accrue frequent flier miles on this aircraft? Will there be a beverage service? Peanuts? More than 2 carry-ons allowed? Will our seats also serve as flotation devices in the event of a water landing? Is it now safe to move about the cabin?

Hi Bob Yearwood! Thanks for signing the guestbook. forgive my ignorance, but I've never heard of your "world famous airplanes" and have a few questions. Is it a full - sized passenger aircraft? Can it hold 4 people and their microphones? Perhaps it is a replica of an airplane, like a toy or glider? Is it a picture of an airplane? Is it something that you call an airplane, but is actually not an airplane, but rather a flat, smooth stone? I would be more than happy to supply you with a tape of any of our 8 recordings, or for that matter, a tape of just about anyone's recordings in exchange for a real airplane. Please send info to me. Thanks Bob! joe

I got together with three of my friends to create our own a capella group. We performed a particularly surprising rendition of "There's a Nose Ring in My Soup." We left my third grade teacher and the entire class open mouthed. Maybe I wasn't clear with the words. What do they know anyway?

While I was drifting off to sleep in the shower at 8:04 AM, I heard the unmistakable sound of a Joe Bob Finetti air trumpet. It was a Computer City ad for Windows '98, and it aired in this prime time slot on WFAN in New York (Imus in the Morning). I recalled hearing something about your doing an ad for them. Congrats on this added exposure!

Gotta love the Bobs! You guys have the weirdest pictures on this site. What is circling Earth in the Bob Tales picture? A new edition that I love, by the way! That troll in Amy's picture really weirds me out! I had to e-mail and check to make sure it was a troll. I didn't want to say anything about it and then find out its Amy's baby or something. That would put a damper on my fan standing with her, I think!

We are big Bobs fans, and we have enjoyed your live performances at the Palms in Davis, CA. Alas, we moved to Santa Maria, and it appears that you don't perform here, or haven't yet. San Luis Obispo, just up the road, has built a FANCY Performing Arts Center that would be ideal for the Bobs. I would love to see you there, and I am sure that you would gain a large and loyal following out here. I mean, Weird Al Yankovic played there, so it's gotta be good! The acoustic are fantasic for sure. It's no Palms, but it's got lots of class nonetheless. Hope to see you there soon! Yours in Banana Love, Dave and Laura

Thanks for a wonderful show 5/16/98 at Somerville, MA!!! I brought three people who hadn't seen The Bobs before, and they loved it! (Of course!) For anyone who may be interested...I, too, have been curious as to what "Moy Mell" was. Well, I uncovered this in an episode guide to a California PBS series called "California's Gold": EPISODE #202 "CENTRAL COAST" Visit the world's first motel, the Motel Inn in San Luis Obispo; a stop at Pozo's Saloon, a former stagecoach stop, and a chat with the last remaining citizen of Moy Mell-where a colony of people called Dunites lived in the sand dunes from the 1920s through the 1940s. Best of luck to Amy Bob!!! (Just say whatever you want, whenever you want...don't let anyone stop you! Enjoy!)

Had a dream the other night. The Bobs: visitors from a parallel universe where all familial units (genetic or otherwise) are singing groups and all communication is sung. People talk only when then are sick which is why hospitals get so few visitors. We are all perceived as being diseased and delusional so The Bobs visit us (a little too infrequently, I might add) as part of a subtle conspiracy to brainwash us in the "true" mode of communication. The Kings Singers have tried this, too as did The Swingle Singers before them. I know it's an evil plot but I find myself singing now in the car and when I'm slicing scallions. My Jack Russell terrier (Champs) looks at me as if to say "Not you, too?" I realize this is too far out even for the X-Files but is there a twelve-step program I can join?

Needless to say, a wonderful time was had by all, even though you did not sing "Pounded on Rock". Amy Bob is a wonderful addition to the group. I really loved the 1600s meets 1968!

I first heard The Bobs on a college radio station in 1985. "I hate the beach boys", I believe it was. Have been a rabid fan ever since, and the recent show in Huntington NY has only served to inflame the rabidity. You guys (Face it, Amy, you are now one of the guys) are too great to describe. First heard you when my friend Deb loaned me her friend's copy of "Songs for Tomorrow Morning" (which is still my favorite from the Bobs). Deb was married on May 2. I finally got to meet her friend - plus another friend I had inadvertantly tuned into the Bobs - at the wedding . How fitting that Deb asked the DJ at the reception to play several Bobs' songs. Also, caught you in concert about a year ago at Wilson College in Chambersburg, PA. Hope to catch you in Alexandria later this year. Thanks for your one-of-a-kind music.

Then, I come here and there is a new Bob!!! WOW! Hi Amy Bob! This is so exciting! I will miss Lori but you're right!! Change good! It would be cool if your name was Roberta, then we could call you Bob Bob! Well, I have to go make some room on my shrine for Amy Bob now! Come to KY again and let me hear her sing!!!!!!!

I'm finally on the BOBS website. I am a full blown BOBS fan, or so I thought before I read some of the other people's comments. I personally heve six of your albums and I am working to get the other four (my brother has 2 others that I don't). I am also, finally, going to my first concert of yours, at IMAC in Huntington, NY. I was also hoping to meet you guys (and gals, sorry) backstage, if that is possible. If it is, please write back to me explaining how me and my brother can. Can't wait to see you at IMAC. I just wanted to thank you, long after the fact, for gracing my humble little studio here in Tucson (remember the one that doubled as my room.) Anyway, I and several others enjoyed your in-studio interview and concert that evening. One must see THE BOBS to truly appreciate their freakiness. If you get a moment, drop me a line and let me know what the group is up to. Good luck in replacing Lori, she was quite fun, but Motherhood calls. take care, Dana

Just got Shut Up and Sing. Slow Down Krishna kills me. First saw you people on a PBS show six years ago. All I could remember was that you were a capella and that you performed "Psycho Killer." No-one ever believed me, and for some reason the video tape with that show has disappeared. Then I found "My I'm Large" at the library, and suddenly I was seeing your CDs everywhere. Keep it up. By the way, what happened to Janie Bob? Did you guys kill her? Is Richard the only surviving original member? *sigh* Memories...
