Love the Bobs! Heard them first on NPR a few years ago: they were doing Helter Skelter, and I literally stopped the car so I could listen undistracted by trivialities such as driving. Sorry Janie is departed, but can't wait to hear Lori Bob.

Sigh...the pilgrimage to Minneapolis fell through, and it won't be feasible to do the KC trip on a weekday. Guess I'll have to drown my sorrows in hot tea while listening to *i brow club*, and pester the Ingersoll Dinner Theater or someone here in Des Moines to bring you back.

Saw you with my family in Indianapolis at Beef & Boards, Oct. 20. Sat down front with 3 small children (you had one of them sing.) We all loved it,as usual, having caught you on previous trips. My wife and I are muscians, and we love what you do to! I have introduced BANANA LOVE and others to everyone who I can get to listen, sometimes to great consternation. You make us happy. Keep singing! Jordan, Linda, Seth, Tristan, and Lucas.

From "Plugged", I love "Tatoo Me Now". Are these still do-able without Janie-Bob? If not, I'll just look forward to Lori-Bob's contributions. See ya.

Most of the songs have the signature humor of Richard "Bob" Greene, either alone or in collaboration with Joe "Bob" Finetti and others. Our favorites include "Hey Coach Don't Call Me a Queer," a primal scream at all those high school paramilitary dictators who took the fun out of sports. "Swingers" is a high energy vocal jazz tune about a carefree couple who love the easy life of Vegas. The doo-woppy "Is It Something I Said" tells the tale of a post office worker whose secret affair goes wrong with tragic consequences, while "Leisure Suit" uses a '70's Bacharach lilt in the story of a guy who loves his lime green polyester outfit. The recording concludes with Joe's tribute to the Heaven's Gate cult, "The Gate," which (shockingly!) includes a simple piano accompaniment. The group's musical diversity and sophistication has never been better - like a fine wine, The Bobs just get better with time!
2459
CD
14.98
Hey, I haven't gotten my newsletter!

Just ordered "I Brow Club" and "The Bobs". Got hooked on the Bobs when I saw them on a Lonesome Pine broadcast on PBS. That was What? 5 or 6 years ago at least! Took 2 years to find any recordings by them after that. When I tell people that my favorite group is The Bobs they say Who? How about doing a little publicity here in the deep south. Maybe even a personal appearance in the area!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got your mailout today. Been too long since I visited your web page. I'm here to sample the NEW ONE!!! Did note in the mailing that you ARE NOT COMING TO AUSTIN!!! We will certainly miss you. Hope one of the adjustments to your schedule will be to sling by here. I've got lots of friends who really like your music. My wife (a Methodist minister) likes your music very much. She says she will try to go to your EARLY concert next time you're by the Cactus Cafe. You are usually here on Saturday night. She has to go to bed early to gear up for Sunday mornings, you know. My kids and I used to go COMPLETELY NUTS over "My Shoes"! We'd sing and jump around to it for the whole extent of the song. Sometimes, we'd play it again just to re-experience the fun. You'll probably always have a certain place in their hearts, too. C'mon down any time. Richard

I only wish that the Bobs could perform in Virginia without a blizzard showing up at the same time! I wish you would bring back that old song you have about the cat: "Don't you look at me that way..." I heard it the first time I saw the Bobs in concert, and never again.

But it's Mom & Dad's 50th anniversiary, and my brother & sister didn't think they'd like a Bobs show for a present - so I'll have to go to Cleveland instead of everyone coming to see you guys. Went to the concert in Minneapolis last night (my third in the past decade or so). As usual, had a wonderful time. Liked Lori Bob. Come back soon.

What a treat! To be Bob'd twice in one year! You may be TOO MUCH excitement for North Dakota, but you're ALWAYS welcome here in Minnesota (and way cheaper than tracking you down out West). Special welcome to Lori Bob. Best wishes to Janie Bob on her new adventure, now we Bob-heads have a place to go after we check into a Best Western. If my new design business doesn't work out, maybe I'll buy some polyester threads (don't let ‘em get to you Joe, they're just jealous of your bitch’n threads) and hit the road to catch ALL of your gigs. By the way, can you request chairs with wheels for the audiences at your gigs so we can for example, stay in the ‘Richard Zone’, as you guys move around on stage? Just thought I'd ask.

Hi especially to Lori Bob :-) This is from the guy in Minneapolis who went nuts on Joe Bob's solo on Purple Haze - I talked with you briefly after the show. This is the fifth time I've seen the Bobs, and I think you're still getting better musically. Lori, I love what you add to the group. I look forward to seeing what you all are like in a year, when you are thoroughly Bob-ified. Thanks again for a wonderful show. Charlie Obert and Cindy Kissee Minneapolis, MN

I have been having a devil of a time trying to get the Shockwave preview of I Brow Club to work. Has anyone had any success? Tried to get IBC yesterday at various locations in NJ (The Wiz, Borders, Sam Goody), but nobody had it in stock yet. Can't wait to hear it!

The Bob's came to Valdez, and did a performance at Gilson Jr. High (My school.) I loved your performance. I really liked "There's a Nose Ring in my Soup". Since the performance my friends are always singing that song. That song and the fart song. I hope you come back to Valdez!

I heard you at Border's in Anchorage and then at the UAA a capella festival last week. You mentioned the name of a rejected song title: Step Back from the Bunny. I mused on that title and came up with lyrics: Step back from the bunny, and make that back step rapid. Step back from the bunny. I think that rabbit's rabid. See her foam and drool and froth? See those kohled eyes? She must be Goth. She may want to drink your blood! At the risk of sounding like Elmer Fudd, Step back from the bunny. Look out, now! She's advancing, buck teeth at the ready, just like Tom Petty dancing. She's a hydrophobic hare, so step back. Watch out! Beware! I think it's time to get the axe and start splitting hares. Step back from the bunny. She's obviously delirious. When the axe has fallen, you'll agree this was a hair-raising experience. Step back from the bunny.

HEY! The Bobs rule!! I miss Gunner Bob though *sob*! Welcome To My Fog was my favorite song when I was little. My friend and I would perform it to the poor sap who happened to be driving behind her mini van. But the new Bobs are just as cool. I hope they come to KY soon!
