April 1997 We caught you at the University of Maine-Orono recently. Great Show!!!! TJ is a Bay area musician who has been "replanted" in Maine, and in his words: "You were like a breath of home". We're kinda curious, have any of you ever worked the South Bay music scene, particularly Mountain Charlie's in Los Gatos? Thank you for a great show--we'll definitely be watching for your return. Thanks again for coming to Newport! (I'm the music teacher...) I loved your show. Do you do anything with schools like residencies or something? I would love to get my kids even more into a cappella stuff. Keep up the good work, Lori!

You had a fabulous concert in Somerville on Sunday! I would especially like to commend Joe, who not only is one of the most talented people I have ever met, but is also a really swell guy for not throwing me out of the theatre when I yelled, "Will you marry me, Joe?" Truth be told, you are my favorite group and it made my life worthwhile to be able to meet you after the show. Thanks, guys!

Your concert on Sunday was great (and thank you for making it such a convenient location- only a 10-minute walk from my house). This was my second Bobs concert- saw you last year in Cambridge. I also bought "Shut Up and Sing"- I'm really glad I can order your stuff through your web page- now I can blow more money on CDs!

I've been waiting a year since you came back to the East coast and was so thrilled to see you at Wesleyn last week. Incredible! I loved the wrap song - Mr. Duality. Yes, I was the one who yelled from the audience, sing the 'laundromat' song. Anyway, we MUST get you to NYC on your next East coast tour!!!! Anyone out there who feels the same - send

Great concert at Somerville! Our first live event, although we have been listening and sharing your albums for years. My 9-year old son especially liked Helter-Skelter and Purple rain, of course. Keep the a capella torch burning!

Caught your performace at the Newport Opera House in NH Friday. I was a little apprehensive about going to the show at first, As a veteran concert goer (8 shows and counting!) I was wondering what the band would be like without Janie. But Lori turns out to be a great singer. I look forward to many more years of Bobs shows. BTW, I hope you are able to make a return engagement to the Flynn in Burlington. It would be nice to see you in town again!

Nice web site. Glad to see you guys are on-line - it will be a lot easier to know when you will be in the area again. I enjoyed the bios too. B.T.W. although I've missed Gunnar and I was sad to see Janie go, Joe is REALLY a lot of fun (and does a mean drum too) and Lori has a great voice. You guys were hot in Northampton on Tuesday I look forward to seeing you again - as always. Suggestion: I read in the FAQ that you might re-issue the two Bobs video tapes. How about doing it on DVD? I own both the tapes now, but would replace with digital to get better sound if you had it available.

Hi Bobs Four: I called into The Connection this past Tuesday when you were on air. I'm the guy who knew of the Baltimores and now sings with Ned Claflin in the Thrillionaires. I joked about opening for you at the Somerville Theater this Sunday night (a concert I would love to have made...). The truth is, we DO want to open for you next time you come to Beantown. How can we make that happen? You know Ned and know he stands for quality (among many other weird and sundry things). Let me know the process for cosnidering opening acts, please. Meanwhile, you guys/gal keep up your wild, delicious, irreverent thing. Andrew Cranin

Thanks for the WONDERFUL show on Wednesday 4/23 at Wesleyan. The new stuff is dynamite, the recycled "Cowboy Lips" is first-rate fun, and the classics like Spray, Johnny's Room and SHC are as good as ever. Lori, welcome! Looks like you're a perfect fit! Looking forward to the new CD and PLENTY OF NEW YORK AREA SHOWS later this year!

Comments on the Fitchburg State concert last night: The audience was a bunch of stiffs!!!! You guys did your usual superlative show. I love your version of Light My Fire. Thanks a bunch for honoring Mary's request and singing krishna. I had the impression that Lori Bob was winging it and coming up with a few surprises of her own during that number. Am I correct? Lori Bob, you're a keeper! Great job! There's nothing like some new blood to spice things up a bit and keep those guys on their toes. All I can say - COME BACK THIS WAY MORE OFTEN!!!! Once a year isn't enough. Thanks for a great show.

Hey, Bobs! Great show this week at the Iron Horse. Loribob is a wonderful addition to the group. I dig those pink boots. Joebob's distorted guitar solo on "Purple Haze" was truly inspired. Bring back "Helmet"!

Great, wonderful, marvelous, fabulous (especially Joe's pants) show last night in Middletown, CT. Lori Bob is just too cute for words. Please say you're recording the history of vocal music series. Caravan was over the top. Then you did Light My Fire! Who could ask for anything more? Until Cowboy Lips! What a show! Wish I could see you in Orono, MA Sunday, but (sigh)... Best to all.

Caught the Bob Bug recently at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center. Thanks for the GREAT show. Being a Bob (squared) myself, I have a keen appreciation for such a fine assemblage of "bobbness." Your nimble vocal chords and reckless precision combined nicely with the whimsical spontaneity and stage presence you all displayed. Lori Bob was especially captivating and fits in like peas in a bob. My brother, Walt Bob and I are local radio Bobs and we will continue to "sing" your praises in this area until our next hot Bob injection. Thanks!!!!!!!

I've been a fan for many years... Went to school with all of the Duck's Breath gang and saw you for the first time several years ago when you played together at UCLA. Bringing 22 of my closest and dearest friends to see you tonight at El Camino College! You Bob Guys and Gal are the Best!

Are you guys responsible for the plane that disappeared over the Rockies, and, do you know just what happened at Roswell?

We're writing from Guam, where just last Thursday night we heard the University of Guam(!) Chorale do "Bus Plunge" and "Helmet". We were immediately hooked. We were then treated on Saturday to "The Bobs" on NPR's E-Town. Love your music.

I think The Bobs are SUPER - DUPER - FANTASTIMUNDORIFIC!, and I'm not easy to please. I've been listening to them for over 7 years, but it seems more like 700!

Ive been a Bobs fan, since I was a wee lass. And I am only 20 now...so Ive got many more (potential) years of Bob enjoyment. My only wish is to be appointed an honorary Bob. Kristin "Bob" David. Anyway, I saw your Orlando show many years ago, and it was the best!...Sure, there was no Mosh pit, and no smothering cigarrette smoke, but I am still waiting for my next opportunity to see Bobs live and on the loose. I have also tainted my friends and family who were formerly Bobs Virgins. Thanx for the Tom Waits Temptation Cover. You are both Masters in your respective trades... Basically...I approve! Until Later, THE GUVNA
