2 Santa Cruz concerts ago (I think) I was the "heckler" who "Yowwed" a number of times. Although Mathew-Bob tried trading places and I waved my hand, you couldn't see me. Just wanted you to know, that I meant it in fun (o' course), loved the 9:30 show April 27th, laughed hysterically over the stage arguments, and generally enjoyed myself tremendously. Hope to see you soon. Especially since I only buy your CD's directly and only have 5 of them so far.

I've seen you several times at the Iron Horse, Northampton and in Cambridge, MA. I did a lot of collegiate acappella singing and now sing lead in a barbershop quartet called Just In Time. The best audience comment I ever received was a few months back when someone said I reminded them of Janie Bob. Wow, I floated home ...

We are those three guys (the gal's not here...) who danced and made you laugh at your concert tonight (Saturday, April 27th). Of course, we don't know if you're actually reading this. Mebbie I shouldn't use Second Narration, eh? Ah well. Anyway, We were the crowd that did 'that movement' during Unchain. And the hats! Don't forget the hats. Now you *must* know. (Joe Bob shook my hand! OH MY GOD! AAaaaaahhhh.... ) (*smack, smack*) (Sorry about him. He won't be doing that anymore.) I know, you're bored by now (if y'all are actually reading this), but that's okay, because purple elephants are neat. (Uhh, yeah...) Right, anyway, thanks for the killer concert! Your groovin' fans, Fritz, Sir-Cut, and Ficus -- The Flaming Cow. (No relation.)

Dear Bobs, I really enjoyed seeing you all (again) on sunday night (4/14/94) in Cambridge. It is always fun to hear the new tunes and I picked up Plugged while at the show. I guess I was swayed by your subtle suggestions. You know, Sanders theatre is a functioning church. You can tell you are in Cambridge becouse there are condom dispensers in the mens room. I must say, although I greatly enjoyed the show, I was a bit miffed by the mix. Durring most of the show, I could not hear Janie-Bob. She may just have been resting, but I think she was actualy singing; her lips were moving. I also have a comment about the time before this last one when I saw you. I very much enjoy your version of Disco Inferno. You made it into an audiance sing-along and that was a lot of fun. It seems to me, however, that rather than just singing "burn baby burn"(repeat and fade), that someone (the audiance and/or you, last time just my wife and I) should sing "disco inferno". As in "Burn baby burn, Disco inferno". This, of course, is more of a stylistic choice to consider rather than something which must be done. So, I have noticed that Jamie-Bob is the only one who changes outfits at intermission (I quite liked the checkerboard number she had on early in this last show). Why don't we see the rest of you in a variety of costumes, perhaps brightly colored satan jumpsuits? Thanks again for a fun time, John

Thanks for helping keep acapella cool. I have seen you at Wolf Trap a few times and have enjoyed your shows. I know that your Helter Skelter won much acclaim as an arrangement. I would like to look at a printed arrangement just for fun. I sing primarily Barbershop, and have arranged a few tunes, and am working on my arranging skills, and am looking for any and all influences. I don't want to perform it, or to incorporate any of it into any of my stuff, would just like to see it. Any possibilites? PKL.

To quote Cole Porter, "You're the top!" Seriously, I'm the musical director of a coed a cappella group here at Wesleyan University and you guys make it look so eeeeeasy... Besides the fact, it's refreshing to hear original a cappella w/flair. Many of my friends are convinced that a cappella is only a vehicle for cheese-factor music. Long live the BOBS!

I'm a professional actor/singer working out of Minneapolis. (I grew up in Columbus, so you have my sympathies Matthew ‹ I know of what you weep.) My first contact with your sound was in a workshop production of ³Requiem for a Butthead,² a music-theater piece written by Gunnar and Richard that I was cast in. Produced by the New Music-Theater Ensemble, we went on to perform it at the Goodman Theater in Chicago a couple of years ago. It would be nice to hear a studio recording of it by the Bobs. I'm ashamed to say I have ALL your recordings. I think I must therefore be a groupie and that frightens me terribly. After hearing ³Bannana Love² played during a rehearsal I was smitten. Like a drug I simply craved for more, until I bought each album in rapid succession and listened to every song 87 times. I'll be looking for ³Plugged² next trip outŠ and a good therapist.
