FINALLY got back from the east coast and the Saturday night Bobs concert at Wolftrap....what a wonderful show (as ususal)! Looking forward to some mid-west concert dates....I, for one, am ready to rock, and nearly as excited as all those first-timers in the audience at Wolftrap.

Saw the show last night at The Barns at Wolftrap (in Virginia). GREAT SHOW! Pick up "Plugged" and "Covers" CD at the show. CDs sold out and are difficult to find in the stores here. What does the "Waiter" line mean in "Particle Man"?

Thanx for providing literally hours of quality audio entertainment. No matter how many times I listen to "Plugged", I always find myself craving just one more run-through of "Meat on the Moon" (my absolute favorite track on the CD). Please continue to produce your amazingly cool songs and sounds.

After being spoiled by living in the Boston area for almost ten years, I moved out here to Western Massachusetts and expected to be culturally deprived. Not so! Thanks for gracing our stage with your smooth, blended sound, astounding vocal virtuosity, and the breadth of wit (ranging from sly winks to just being over the top). You had quite an act to follow, what with the Temptations having brought down the house before an anticlimactic intermission. My only complaint was with the sound people--they clearly did not know how to mike singing groups properly, especially ones where leads change frequently, or where words need to stand out against background 'instrumentation'. Nevertheless, I really appreciated your energy, musicality, and ingenuity; my favorites were 'Mr. Duality', your cover of 'Psycho Killer', and the numbers with the 'horn' solos. Though I had been a 'Bobs virgin', I do come with some familiarity with a capella singing (Episcopal church choir) and other musical experience (orchestral; violin), adding to my admiration for what you guys have accomplished. Keep up the great work, and I'll look out for you next time you're in my neck of the woods.

I've been a devout fan since seeing you for the first time on "Tin Pan Alley" with Gunnar Bob singing lead on "Hippie Stockbroker." Sonce then I've managed to mangle much of your rockin' tunage with my singer friends. I'm sure you're tired of hearing how super dooper mega mondo cool you are, so I won't repeat any of that, wxcept to say that you are super dooper mega mondo out of the flip side cool. Janie, how do you manage to keep so ripped and buffed on tour? Is it Soloflex? MetRx? Lots of pushups? Wow! This comment thing seems to go on forever, I hope you get it all. Joe, I hope you earn your vest soon, since you gave back Andy's in Irvine. Richard, I hope you remain a happy little pixie. Matthew, you're just perfect. Bye.

Hi Bobs buddies from your #1 Kentucky booster! Just got on line and had to check you out first thing. Saw "FOR BETTER OR WORSE" Sunday. Your work really added a lot of texture to it. Can't wait to see your show -- wish I could get to Wolf Trap, I know you'll be sensational. "PLUGGED" was fabulous too. My favorite tracks are "Elwood Decker", "Bus Tour" and "Kill Your Television." Hope my company can print something for you someday. Also hope to sing "Boy Around The Corner" with Janie (what can I say, just a funky little fantasy). You're doing great work!

I've been a Bobs fan since '86. My a cappella group, Susanne and the Guys With Ties, does only "You Cant Do That" as anything approaching a Bobs tune, although we do a pretty good rendition of Lucy in the Sky w/ Diamonds. BOBS: Please come to Maine again!

About 6 years ago I was in an a cappella trio that did almost all Bobs' covers. Well, we're at it again, older and wiser, and we'll be singing at the Stanislaus County Fair in Turlock, CA Thank you, Bobs, for years of great music. Scott; saw your Mercedes--silver and gray polka dots rule! To all of the Bobs: saw you in Chico, you guys are great, I was wondering if getting tangled up in the mic cords was part of the act...(?) :) Hope there wasn't TOO much partying in Chico. "Kill Your Television" and "Meat on the Moon" are pure genius--your ideas will immortalize life in the nineties, tattoos and bumper stickers (exploding paint buildings). Wow. QUESTION: Was "Elwood Decker" inspired by any certain person? It reminds me of "Les Trois Sonnes", or the Jimmy Brown song. It's pretty damn cool. Thanks for the time, greytale

We attended your concert last night in Northhampton and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves as always. We wonder, however, how you created the electric guitar sound on "tattoo".. was it computer generated or was it done through feedback? At any rate, you showed us a side of the group we haven't seen yet, and it's a great addition. Thanks for a wonderful evening!

Great show in Northampton MA last night! I saw you perform several years ago at a small dinner club in Hartford, CT . . . you are as great as ever last night. (what ever happened to Gunner-Bob?) We had a few friends join us last night that we had introduced to your music - - - they were blown away too. Too big a crowd around the table after the show to sign up for the mailing list . . . what's the best way to do that now? Got a real kick out of "Psycho-Killer" (any plans for "Burning Down the House?)

I'm in the middle of preparing for a demo for Monday, but I took a break to go to your show in Northampton tonight. It was the first time I've seen perform and it really energized me, giving me the stamina I need to get back to work, neglect my family and stress out my body (which makes my face break out). I especially liked your rendition of "White Room."

Just saw you at the John M. Green hall in Northampton, MA (your Grand Dad, Richard? Really??) I must say I prefer it when you perform at the Iron Horse. Thanks for a wonderful wonderful show! I am glad to see the Song Book... now as we try to mimic your songs, we can look it up to see just how far off we are. Say hi to Gunnar for us, and tell him we miss him, and hope he's doing well.

Enjoyed you last night in Keene. I'd heard recordings before but never in concert. Favorites included White Room, Spontaneous Human Combustion, and Bird on a Wire. I love hearing original arrangements of classics. Are you familiar with Uncle Bonsai and other music of Andrew Ratshin? Your originals reminded me of his. My partner, Michael Cohen, and I recorded some amusing and heart-wrenching tunes (mostly about obsessive love) with a band we called Lip Service. Thoughnot a cappella, the 3-part harmonies are still interesting, and the original music has some great hooks. We'd be happy to send you a free tape if you're interested. Sincerely, Liz Sumner

Two years ago caught you in Chester VT. Last night in Keene NH. Both WONDERFUL shows. Hard to catch words in Keene. My 21 year old daughter suggests I wear cotton in ears. Is this the "new audio filtering system" or is it just tht my hearing is going? Loved it when you backed off from the mikes and let fly. (Even the Persuasions sounded better when their audio went dead ;) Consider it..alternative purism. Thanks for sharing your talents and hard work. PS. my 12 year old used her attendance at the Chester concert in expalining her reason for wanting to attend an acapella camp session this summer. Thanks for encouraging her.

I have been a fan since Gregg Porter introduced me to your ep way back in I think 1985. Then after seeing you at Mc Cabes in LA I became a fanatic. As a musician and a entertainer I can only say that your pound for pound the best vocal onsom I have ever seen or heard
