The TANGLES, my a capella group in Idaho listen to your music all of the time. been trying to contact you so we can get music and get permission to perform your stuff for my school. The BOBS are the greatest, we worship you.

I went to your concert at the Barclay Theater at UC Irvine, and really enjoyed it. The scats were excellent, especially with the imitations of the trumpet and the trombone. I especially liked "Tattoo," and, of course, the old favorite "Banana Love." Too bad we didn't get to hear "My Shoes," though!

Also thought I'd tip my hat to the four of you. My dad, who was a newcomer to your music (A Bobs virgin, perhaps?) *still* hasn't stopped talking about the concert. Also wanted to thank you for signing my songbook. See you in March!

We have all of your albums and missed chances 5-6 years ago to see you both in Tucson and in San Francisco, so we were very glad to make last night's great Tucson show. We were going to complain about the absence of "Cowboy Lips," but we see that Mary Lou Kenny beat us to it. So we'll just say that we also missed "Strawberry Fields" (one of the best covers ever!)

We saw you all at your recent stop in Tucson. Waited six long years since your visit to Scottsdale/Phoenix. It was worth it, but come to AZ again soon. Your music and art and humor is truly a treasure for us all. And a "kick" besides. Best wishes . . . Tom & Gena

I expected as much. The Irvine show was well worth the two hour drive in traffic from LA. Hadn't seen you guys since the Steve Hayden "leader of the year" dinner in 1994. And like that show, the Irvine show was too short. I could have kept going for hours, even though I'm sure you couldn't. Thanks for the fun.

Hey, MR. Pitch Pixie and the rest of the Bobs! I was in the 3rd row at your Tucson concert last night and it was truly outstanding! [I was the one next to the empty seat Janie Bob pointed out] Please don't wait another 5 years to come back to Tucson -- and when you do come back, please, please can you sing "Cowboy Lips?"
Mary Lou Kenny (mlk@ccit.arizona.edu)

I love the Bobs! I saw you in concert once at Rutgers University. I even bought your CD "Shut up and Sing" which all the Bobs were kind enough to sign. Twice. When are your open auditions?

Just got back from the Bobs show in Malibu. Boy, those guys sure are cool. Richard said to say "I just saw the Bobs and Richard had laryngitis and barely any voice and still managed to sing a low G." That's the incredibly low "I'm Russian and you're not" low G, in case you're wondering. Very Jeolous. Joe is amazing. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Last night--1-26-96--we saw the BOBS for the first time ever. You were at the Barclay theatre at UC Irvine. It was great. I'd heard about you from friends and it was as good as they'd said. Incredible talent there, Bobs. I have a doctorate in music--I'm from the stuffier side of the street--but I'm really trying to break out of the snob mentality. :) Hearing you made the transition a lot easier. Baptism with fire and all that. It was great!!!! Hope to hear you again soon. GOD BLESS!!!

Thanks so much for coming to boring Republican Orange County last night and brightening things up around here. Puh-leeze come back soon! I guess this was, what, the fifth time I've seen you in concert, and I've loved it every time (well...to be honest, the last time you sang in Costa Mesa with ISO you seemed tired, and that Mall piece did get old pretty quick--glad you kept the "Bus Tour to the Outlet Mall" part, though--still, last night at the Barclay was OUTSTANDING, and I was so glad I'd brought some friends along who'd never heard you before).

Thanks for hopping over the Sierra Madre for a one-day stint in Utah! Weird audience, huh? We had a wall of blue-haired Hoover Republicans in front of us. Thanks for moving forward, too. I'd love to hear all your old stuff too, but that's what CDs are for. We've been raising our kids on your stuff. Weird kids! :)

I was in your audience in Logan, UT last night. I've been amazed at your work since hearing your first album many years back, but it was a new experience altogether to see and hear your work "live." I sit in the "prude" section of the audience, (some of your lyrics are a little strong for me) but your MUSIC! Wow. You're an amazing group! KEEP IT COMING!

I was in a college a capella group that covered many of your tunes to the delight of our audiences. "My I'm Large," "Bus Plunge" and "Bulky Rythm Polka" were particluar favorites. My quartet's greatest joy was seeing you live several years ago here in Cleveland. I heard from our (now) Philadelphia member that you didn't enjoy your Cleveland gig but please, I'm begging you, PLEASE come back to our fair city.

I first heard The Bobs on Dr. Demento about four years ago. Ever since then I'd been trying to find some of their music (our music store isn't quite as diverse as most). I had to go out of state before I finally found some. And I'm glad I did. It's too bad it took me so long.

In a world where a cappela groups have sunk to the levels of the ever annoying "mime", the Bobs continue to be ahead of their time, and a class all their own. They are nothing short of brilliant.

I saw a concert on PBS about 5 years ago and loved the Bobs but I haven't known where to see or hear them. We heard about a concert to be held in Logan, Utah in January so we bought tickets. We're on the front row! Just tonight I found the newest CD, "Plugged" and I really like it.

I am a vocal music lover, especially in a cappella. I have never heard your music before. But I have read a lot from your home page. I ordered one of your CD from 'primarily a cappella' recently I hope I can get it very soon. I expect it will be a great experience to me.

I have been a fan since 1986. I still love the group, though I feel they were at their best when they were a quintet during the Joe-Gunnar transition years.Could you posssibly give us any information on Gunnar? Also, is it still possible to get a copy of their performance video tape of them with ISO that was on PBS? They used to have it in the Bobs merchandize catalogue. Anyway, thanks for the home page!

One of the best concerts I ever saw was when the Bobs played the Ark in Ann Arbor. I was only a few feet away, and I was amazed. So the next question is, got any new videos out?

Got "Plugged" three days ago and been playing it incessantly ever since. My favorite is "I.T.H.O.T.M.O.A." A real John Cougar Melonball of a song. Be careful it doesn't become a Pepsi commercial. Hey, any chance of that IsoBobs special I saw on PBS becoming available commercially? Just a question.
