The CDs are great but live is far, far better. Only living through a show like the one at Seattle's Backstage could reveal the polish and professionalism that captures the essential, uh, greatness of the Bobs. I hope we all didn't get a case of Christian Death Rash. Come back soon and often.

came up to Austin the other night to hear you guys - warmed up by watching a tape from your performance on Lone Pine Special with Iso! wonderful! I am NOT the source of the "Beer Bobs" comment, btw, yelled from the audience! Come visit the Cactus anytime! and make it down to San Marcos to our fabulous spring-fed River (which needs LOVE since it's contents are in danger of being sucked out by the forces of evil: City Hall!) A heartwarming fob story: In 1989, tiring of ties, cookbooks, and earrings, an enterprising fob bought tix to a wolftrap concert for her entire family as a holiday gift. Giving them them a date to keep free, she did not tell them where they were going-or accompany them. Directions were issued to one and only one attendee with the tickets a week in advance. On that fateful night--months after xmas--5 unsuspecting family members headed to wolftrap for a bobs concert extravaganza. Later that same evening: Imagine the surprise of our intrepid gift giver playing back her messages she heard an acapella thank you rendition of jingle bells from her inspired family members. Thus was a whole family united in new wave acapella croony looniness.

I recently attended the concert here at the Bijou Theater. On the one hand, you guys were great On the one hand, you guys were GREAT (I had seen you before several times in Berkeley and its always a blast). On the other hand, the acoustics were TERRIBLE; I literally could not understand half the lyrics, which is a shame because that's the most fun. I really wish you had booted the electronics and gone UNplugged that night.

Being a long-time fan i was somewhat diappointed when you came to my homestate (minnesota) just after i had left for college. Now that i am on the east coast, i think you should make many more appearances out here (Boston). I just want to say that all of your music is absolutely great, and keep up the great singing.

I'm seriously bummed that I missed your concerts here. Again. Oh, well. Please come back soon, and I promise I'll be at the show! I did enjoy your appearance on KUT on Eklektikos, at least. You're all fabulously talented, and I look forward to seeing you in concert some day.

We saw you in Lawrence, KS at Liberty Hall last Wednesday (Nov 01) and you were GREAT!! We also saw you in Lawrence several years ago with ISO. We have most of your CD's and will order T-shirts for our teenage children for Xmas. We hope our daughter Brooke, a student at Reed College, will see you in Portland later this month. With you on the stereo, and with our helmets on, nothing can do us wrong!

I sing in a group of 10 men called TenBucsWorth. It is an A Cappella/vocal jazz type group. Our main material comes from groups like the King's Singers, the Nylons, and most importantly, THE BOBS! We have done Little Red Riding Hood, Nose to Nose, and Bannana Love. I saw your concert in Knoxville, and you were amazing! I hope to see you again very soon. Everyone here at East Tennessee State University has heard me talk about how great you are, and are interested in seeing you as well. Thanks for being such outstanding musicians and role models!

What an incredible concert last night! (Here in Lawrence at Liberty Hall) Wow! I just thought I'd add a comment about how the group addresses their URL... it's www.bobs.com, not just bobs.com... at least from where I'm connecting. :-) Other than that... I guess it's time to browse around BOBsLand!

I was just tagging along with some friends who wanted to see 8:1, but WOW! did I get my money's worth! The show was quite unlike anything I've seen before; the Bobs are four of the most talented performers that I have encountered. The vocal guitar solos! The ribcage-rattling bass! The wacky lyrics! The angelic harmonies! I am an instant fan!

Y'all are the best! I "discovered" y'all on PBS late one night and have been hooked ever since. I saw your performance at the Cactus Cafe a few years ago here at The University of TEXAS @ AUSTIN. Interestingly enough, I'm planning to see you again either this Thurs (11/2) or Fri (11/3) at the same place. Your music is one of a kind not to mention amazing. Thanks for sharing all your talent. Take Care and I hope y'all enjoy coming to AUSTIN!
