Gah! This caught me by surprise... You four are the most amazing musicians on the face of the earth. Instruments? Hah! Puny instruments cannot match the power of even a single Bob's vocal chords! I saw you semi-recently at the Record Exchange in Raleigh, NC (Free pizza! Woo-hoo!). Sadly, I was unable to attend the concert that night... but I saw you in February at the Carolina Theatre. Great show... and, I went to see They Might Be Giants peformthe next night. "Particle Man" live twice in one weekend!! Any chances of hearing a "Bobbed" version of a Joe Satriani song? (THAT would be wild...) By the by, I absolutely LOVE "Meat on the Moon"... Keep on barking and grunting and shouting like fools...

Found your homepage while trying to restore my hosed hotlist. Unfortunately, except for the homepage and the forms part of the guestbook, nothing seems to work using Mosaic 2.7b1 (for X Windows on a Sun SPARC10); only the button for "The Bobs Home Page" is visible when going to any of the links on the homepage. I don't have the option of running another browser, and if your intent is to impart information, that information should be visible across many platforms using different browsers. Hope that I can enjoy reading these pages in the near future. (Sorry to use this forum to report this, but no "mailto:" link is visible.) I first heard the Bobs about 6 years ago on the Dr. Demento show.... a syndicated radio show of strange and interesting music. The song I was fortunate enough to hear was "Banana Love". I had no idea who the Bobs were, but I loved the song, and played it for as many people as I could. They also loved it... then one fateful day, about 6 or 7 months ago, I heard that the Bobs were playing in my hometown of Northampton, MA. I had never heard any of their other music, but decided that I would definately have to go and see the show. "Banana Love" was not played (sung), but what I heard blew me out of my mind. I bought Shut up and Sing at the door and listened to it on the way home. It was extremely good..... I was then hooked. Now it is the present day. I have just placed an order for three more Bobs albums from the WatchFob, and am anxious to hear them. I am sure they will be as exemplary as everything else I've heard. I wish to thank the Bobs personally for their contribution to music in general, and more specifically, for their contribution to my music experience. I hope to attend as many shows as I can in the future. My only request? More shows in the NorthEast, and specifically, at the Iron Horse Cafe in Northampton, MA. Thanks again. Nate DeRose

Our group's name was Spontaneous Combustion (we'd love to do that song too!) Any hints on how we can market ourselves and make an album would be greatly appreciated! Thanks- Bill

I first saw the BOBs at a little bar in Albany, CA, in about 1980.Since then I must have seen them at least a dozen times. I really enjooyed seeing the BOBs with the ISO Dance Theater. That was magic. Over the years I've forced maany friends to go to BOBs concerts and listen to BOBs albums. Most of those people are still my friends. The ones who aren't I probably didn't want as friends anyway.

You ought to be really grateful that you found each other. It is rare to find a group that can even pretend to be compatable in even a few areas. I am also grateful that this inspired mania earns you some form of employment, because, otherwise, this level of dementia would require institutionalization and my taxes are already too high! Of course, I am in real estate, and my taxes for this last year are way down (follows income, cute trick, eh?) I saw you in concert in Santa Rosa, I was a music major at U.C. Riverside and graduated with honors (kindly, they didn't put "by the skin of his teeth" on my diploma - one one hundredth of a grade point, actually) but, I never really noticed that feedback (like in Purple Haze) ACTUALLY HAS FOUR PARTS TO IT! Forget the singing, you folks have tremendous listening skills. I love your stuff, I told my best friend that lives in Washington, D.C. about you and he and his wife went to see you at Wolf Trap in Virginia. CARRY ON MY WAYWARD FRIENDS CHRIS CELLA

Hi Singers We are a Swiss A Cappella Band, named "Crashed Tickets" (sounds a little like Pickets, doesn't it?), starting our first perfomances five years ago and present now our first record, named "Schallplatte". Kind of similar, but not at all, to the style of music you perform. Trying to set up a WWW page of our Band, I'd like to hint to other A Cappella sites as yours. If you know other A Cappella relevant Web Sites, please let me know! The Crashed Tickets Web Site is (in a provisional stage!!!) http://129.132.59.25:8080/ct.html I'd like to hear from you, especially live in Switzerland!

Ever since the first chords of "Helmet" graced my ears, I have been a devotee of the music of the Bobs, not to be confused with Lloyd Webber's "Music of the Night". Upon purchasing the Bob's new disc PLUGGED, I was extreemly suprised to find your world wide web address. I was glad that I called to find out information on it. I have found that you, the Bobs, are performing a few short miles from Findlay. I anxiously await the triumphant procession of the BOBS to the state of OHIO.

Dear Mary Heavey--Hang in there! You've gone above and beyond with your chicken-poxed-children; my advice? Play PLUGGED for 'em. My two wander around singing random Bobs lyrics--Tattoo me now! Coffee is my favorite drug! Meat on the moon, baloney baloon... Eventually they will get better! (Mine had sequential CP too. It sucks.) Hey Joe Bob(Chop)-- How the heck are you? Tom got me going on the Internet here, so I'm not really sure what I'm doing. He went to bed so I can't ask him any questions. How's life? My life has been crazed lately. My sister fell off her garage roof and fractured her back and pelvis, so I've been babysitting her 16 month old. Then both my kids have gotten the Chicken Pox--not at the same time, of course! One of them spent a week home from school and the other has been home 2 days now. I'll be in the Bay Area Oct. 20 -22. Where will you be? Good luck. Hope to hear from you sometime. Love, Ma-hair-ma-he-ma!

I thought I could not wait to get a copy of PLUGGED, so last night I wondered the streets of Berkeley (home town of the Bobs) looking for a copy of it. I spent an hour in Rasputens, and eventually found a clerk who sent me into the basement, where I did find 3 used Bobs CD's in the "Volcals" section. (Amoeba Records has them in the "Rock" section, but they closed early and I couldn't check them this time). I went to Tower Records, and again had trouble finding it (their motto is "come to us for selection!". Eventually, I found a few copies of older Bob's CD's but not PLUGGED. So I went next door to Leopolds. By now, I was tired of checking my bags in and out at all these places for no reason, so I asked the guy behind the Baggage Check / Information Desk if they had a copy of PLUGGED by The Bobs. I had to spell PLUGGED for him. His computer told him that there was "a non-zero number of them downstairs". So I checked by baggage and went to look. FINALLY: I found only one copy of PLUGGED, at $15.99. A dollar more than it costs to order it directly! But after this long search, I decided to pay the extra dollar so I would have something to show for this long search. But now I wonder: Shouldn't all these record stores in the Bob's home town have big displays of the Bobs new album? Not just a non-zero number of copies (one) in the basement of one out of three stores?
